Susan Grant and Joni de Winter are the founding members of the performing duo, Belle Street.

Hugh: The Musical (Still a Work in Progress) is their first touring musical production with original music.

It is a fun and original ‘fringe style’ musical within a musical. A light-hearted look at love, friendship and the trials and tribulations of being a performer!
The story follows two hopeful performers who have been given what could be their big break – a musical to tour with all the promise of success. As they navigate the questionable plot of a 90s romantic comedy they and their friendship are put to the test – especially when the rest of the cast doesn’t show up and the budget is cut to the size of a flea!

Can the performers carry it off to an unsuspecting audience whilst dodging the many plot holes and without falling out?!

The workshopped version of the show was voted ‘Best Show’ by public vote in Shaftesbury Fringe 2022. So expect fun, audience interaction and to be ‘Hugh-gely’ entertained!

Matthew aka The Piccolo Box stone pizza is to be the caterer for the evening, providing delicious handmade pizzas for the evening

BooBsShaftesbury Breast Cancer Awareness charity number #1177288.
We are a local registered charity that aims to raise awareness of breast cancer in women and men and teach how to check your breasts to help early detection.

Not only is our aim to promote awareness but also to support women, men and their families who have been or are going through treatment. We can help financially with the added costs of going for treatment and appointments and also for the costs of wigs, mastectomy bras etc.

Above all else, we can help with emotional support and mental wellbeing by paying for therapies and counselling if anyone should need it. Our support group also runs once a month at Shaftesbury Youth Club 11 to 1 on the 3rd Saturday.

We also have a deep will to empower our breast cancer warriors by helping them feel beautiful once again, we can help by paying for beauty treatments such as semi-permanent eyebrows as chemotherapy can leave ladies without and also things like tattoos over scars from surgery etc. Our financial help currently spans the SP7, SP8 and SP3 areas and we hope to grow and help further afield in the future.

Another way we help is by getting chemotherapy care packages out to our local hospitals to help ladies starting out on their treatment journey, we aim to ensure every person going through the breast cancer unit is able to receive one of these amazing, thoughtful bags.

We launched Boobs back in 2014 in memory of our beautiful friend Claire who lost her battle with Breast Cancer at the age of 35 this is her legacy as she showed us what true courage, strength and beauty is 🩷
